HRM-MOS - High Resolution Model MOS |
Meteo Service has developed a turn-key system which allows a weather
service to store model and observation data and to get statistical
weather forecasts based on that model and observation data. The
software is delivered once. The forecast production starts from the
very first day of operation of this software, even if there are only
just a few days of data stored. The forecasts are always better than
Direct Model Output (DMO) on the average. However, really good quality
of forecasts can be expected only after one year of data has been
stored and excellent forecasting quality will be achieved with three
or more years of historical data used. HRM stands for high resolution
model which is the first application of this software. However, it
will run based on any model and observation data.
